Assassin’s Creed: Pirates is a spin-off game for smartphones and tablets developed by Ubisoft Paris. The game follows the pirate Alonzo Batilla, who holds the key to finding the treasure of the French pirate La Buse. The game focuses on naval combat and is set in the early 18th century, similar to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Since its release, the game has had several updates which added new gameplay options to the game.
- On 4 September 2014, an update called “Cold Blood” was released, incorporating Arctic areas inspired by Assassin’s Creed: Rogue.
- On 18 December later that year, another update called the “The Lost Temples” update was released. This update gave players the opportunity to leave their ships and explore hidden Mayan Temples on land.
- On 11 June 2015, a final update called “Quest for Eden” was released alongside with a trailer, concluding Alonzo’s story and quest for La Buse’s treasure.

A good game that can kill time and fight boredom especially if you got into a place where you can’t escape the agony that a silence can bring and as long as you have your android phone or tablet and your device runs an android version 4.0 and up, it will run smoothly without too much of requirements needed. It’s offline so you can play it in any place that doesn’t have any internet connection or if it does, then you can buy coins to have better in-game resources for any upgrades for your ship, perks, and additional crew. I like its friendly GUI and short in-game animations that give you an adventurous vibe and excitement to play the game; though the in-game story runs like reading a comic book, it works better for me since I don’t miss out any part of the story unlike other games that runs a short movie in most part of the game wherein it drains too much of your device’s battery; and since you’re watching through a small screen, you’re going to miss a lot of small details in the story. The game also got a good soundtrack, it makes you feel like a part of the game and it’s perfect for those who loves listening to game soundtracks, most songs in the game are available in Spotify. Just click this link to start listening; this is a great playlist to play if you’re traveling alone or looking for an adventure and wanted to feel the old English era. Overall it’s a great game that doesn’t need any experienced skills like me, well I’m not much into any computer or mobile games these days but I enjoyed it.
