Just an amazing way how to spend Thanksgiving and learn more about symphonic metal music that day, Last Ride of The Day by Nightwish and Kahit Ayaw Mo Na by This Band made the day so rock n roll, a perfect balance of heavy and soft with 2 vocals that nailed it so perfect and made me feel that I can play it all day long(though I can’t feel my fingers anymore because of the bass guitar hahaha). I found out that 3 basic movements can create something amazing and powerful sound that can draw my sleeping energy inside; I even forgot to sleep that day and lasted hours after watching the clips all over again… and again and again, it’s like a day without limits. I saw a hardworking drummer that fought enough against the cymbals(yes the cymbals crashes like a tin can so bad that it disorients your concept of a drum pattern), a great lead guitarist exploring how to attack the AdLib part with precision, and a singer who can hit high notes that blends perfectly with the heavy sound and can go Disney if we’re not playing a symphonic metal piece, and yeah I’m not fooling around, the voice range can go Disney musical and with that being said, I’m kinda thinking if someone already tried merging Disney and symphonic metal.
Still hoping for more fun days like this, learning new sounds and meeting new mates and other things to satisfy cravings, cravings to play unfamiliar music and if the time allows, maybe experiment a Disney piece with a heavy sound. This day was made possible by my great friend Ate Jessy who never stops supporting the jams, exploring new sounds and meeting new mates, someone who can help you how to be a person in a society that sets a standard that kills the true and inner side of us as a person and so if anyone out there feels that you’re almost getting to a point where all you have now is just your name to define you as a person and that you don’t know who you are and wanna be as a person anymore… well, you can start now and look for friend/life coach, someone who can tell your flaws and gives pointers how to handle, and the most important part is that, someone that never gives you deadline when to fix your life.
